It wouldn't be right to put together a blog about Hot Girl Summer without Meg playing in the background right? So here we go.....

Summer 2019 was definitely one that can easily go down in history as one of the most memorable times ever. No matter who your were, or where you were from, you were INDEED a hot girl this summer whether you knew that shit or not. It unintentionally became a movement that kept woman worldwide confident, inspired, bold, sexy, and all around badass AF. Of course there were the trolls (these niggas) who simply felt like this movement was free advertisement to be a hoe without actually saying it.......but that's where they were completely wrong. It was a hot girl summer because we were in OUR BAG and not in our feelings, we did what we wanted freely without the opinion/judgement of others, we achieved goals, we laughed, we cried, we partied our asses off, we took risks, but most importantly we had fun.

Hot girl summer was a movement dedicated to friends, sisters, mothers, aunts, cousins, and even pookie them. It created a space for woman to embrace who they are unapologetically.......because it's time we stop apologizing when we don't really mean it. We are not apologizing for being too busy, we are not apologizing for being too sexy, we are not apologizing for wanting to have fun, and we damn sure aren't apologizing for deserving a hot girl summer. It's a phrase that became a mindset. That mindset being to OWN IT in every single thing that you do. Whether you were a hot girl that worked, went to school, took care of family, traveled, saved up, moved, left BOZO ass, twerked, drove the boat, and twerked some more......you were apart of the movement.

This summer I didn't let minor incidents ruin my entire moment. I maintained close relationships, fixed old ones, met a lot of new people, drove the boat, cut people off, blocked a few, and drove the boat AGAIN. I even went to Costa Rica by myself ya'll. Looking into 2019 as an overview a few months ago, that's probably not one of the things that I imagined even happening. But going alone made me feel so damn confident simply because I discovered that I'm genuinely capable of enjoying my own company. I didn't need anyone to be with me to have fun. Whether I'm a party of 1 or a party of 5 I am a party lol. (Anyone who knows. really knows lol)

This summer I hope you showed a little ass, shaked a little ass, but most importantly......I hope you had fun. I hope you discovered a new part of you that you didn't even notice. Whether that be your wild side, freaky side, happy side, sad side, etc. Even if it feels like you didn't do much, I hope you were able to grasp a solid understanding of what this movement is really about. Embrace your flaws, attitude, and confidence because nobody can do it for you. This is probably the first summer where I've seen so many bathing suit pictures on Instagram and Twitter in a way that displayed NO regret. I even seen an abundant of love, support, and encouragement coming from hot girls of all different flavas. The beauty of this whole thing is it's something that can flourish all year round. Be a hot girl in your walk, your talk, and your presence when you enter a room. Know who tf you are and why you're there. Forget a hot girl summer......lets make it a hot girl year. It's 2019 and we doing wtf we want to do! PERIOD.
